ELISABETH Abela had unexpected but exciting news at the doctor's surgery yesterday morning.
Sitting in the waiting room, her mother was reading the Illawarra Mercury and read aloud the day's Cash Card Jackpot numbers."I said 'Oh, you never win those things'," she said.But she was soon proved wrong when her mother read out Ms Abela's numbers."I said 'That's mine' and I ran out of there to check," she said.Ms Abela (pictured) said her $2000 win was great timing for her Mangerton household."We've put a new kitchen in and it needs tiles and benchtops," she said.Readers have a chance to win at least $1000 each day in the Mercury Cash Card Jackpot.To be in the running you will need your cash card from Saturday's paper.Each day you can try to match up your lucky jackpot numbers to those published in the Mercury.If today's $1000 is not won, it will jackpot in tomorrow's competition.
