Bashed After Failed Theft

A TEENAGER was bashed and kicked after he could not come up with any cash when being robbed by a gang of up to eight youths, Lake Macquarie police said.
The 18-year-old was confronted as he walked alone along the Pacific Highway, Blacksmiths, about 7pm on Saturday.Police said the group demanded his wallet, and when he failed to produce any cash he was punched and then kicked.He was undergoing X-rays yesterday to determine the extent of his injuries.
