Car Park Fees 'grab For Cash'

NSW OPPOSITION health spokeswoman Jillian Skinner has slammed the parking fee increases at Hunter hospitals as a blatant grab for cash.

Timed parking fees began yesterday at John Hunter Hospital and a flat $4 fee came into effect today at James Fletcher, Belmont and Maitland hospitals and the Wallsend and Waratah campuses yesterday.

Mrs Skinner said the increased hospital parking fees would hit the most vulnerable in society pensioners and young families.
